• CS writes to CGM with proposal to declare entire state as soft tenure

We had a meeting in which the staff position in Karnataka Circle was discussed threadbare. We did a comparative study of our neighboring Circles and presented the data to CGM. While CGM appreciated the points that brought out the pathetic situation of KTK Circle in terms of the staffing strength of Executives, he asked us for possible solutions. We proposed that there is enough justification to declare KTK as a soft tenure state. Such policies have a precedence and we impressed upon CGM that we need to propose something similar for KTK. CGM asked us for a formal write up on this. With the technical data inputs from our ACS HQ, we were able to give a comprehensive input to Management on the issues faced by Executives due to the acute staff shortage. We will be pursuing this point with our CHQ also.

  • Update on Meeting with CGM KTK

We were able to meet our CGM briefly at the end of the day today. We pressed for the release of R-8 Orders for processed cases. CGM was positive. CGM also took note of the emerging situation post bulk promotions.

As for the SDEs transfer/ promotion, CGM wanted to take a comprehensive view due to the bulk promotion. He requested us to prepare a plan and meet next on Thursday.

Friends, We are systematically following up on all issues. For some time, there was no big breakthrough by AIGETOA. But the recent bulk promotion through DPC has changed this perception.

We also have to face some new challenges such as Restructuring for which we need your inputs on the ground-level situation. Together, we hope to build a conducive working atmosphere across the organization.

We are seeing some disturbing scenes via social media feel bad on the circumstances that are surrounding our beloved organization. As you know, the Revival Plan of BSNL/MTNL is not moving
ahead positively. The Management needs to be held accountable on this. The matter needs to be precipitated at all levels. Please join hands in all upcoming programmes without any prejudice so that our difficulties are made known and solutions can be derived.

  • AIGETOA Meeting with STR

Some long pending staff issue were highlighted. We discussed the current challenges in route maintenance. It all boils down to lack of funds to maintain and improve the network. Shri Kiran gave ground level updates as valuable inputs to the Management and we hope that the situation will improve shortly. We also strongly pitched for clearance of pending R-8 relieving and consideration of transfer requests. We will continue to follow-up.
