A joint meeting was held in Lakshmipuram exchange on 19th November, 2016 in the evening at 18:30 hrs. It was well attended by all Executive body members of AIBSNLEA and AIGETOA Mysuru. More than 50 executives gathered to plan on how to effectively combine our efforts in the upcoming MV.

Shri. Krishna Gowda, ACS, AIBSNLEA gave threadbare updates on the situation in MYS SSA. He spoke of the propaganda being spread by our sister association with the aim of misguiding BSNL executives in the upcoming MV. He highlighted the progress of AIBSNLEA under the able leadership of Shri Prahlad Rai, GS.

Shri. Sundarraju, CS AIGETOA spoke of how DRs were exploited by other associations in the early years. AIGETOA was formed due to the persistent suppression by the other association. He mentioned the good co-ordination achieved at the Circle level by AIGETOA and AIBSNLEA and looked forward to a continuation of the same at MYS SSA. He gave out facts and figures based the recent joint tours of more that 13 SSAs of KTK where, in no SSA, the number of executives with the AIBSNLEA and AIGETOA combine have been exceeded by any other association or grouping. This served as a boost to the participants of the joint meeting who resolved to ensure the same in Mysuru.

Shri. Chandran, ACS AIGETOA spoke of his past experiences in Mysore. He highlighted how our sister association both creates the problem and then comes forward to show sympathies with assurances to resolve the same! He introduced our newly elected DS Shri Sharat Kumar to the house and assured the support of all DRs of Mysuru to AIBSNLEA in the upcoming MV.

Other speakers included Shri. Ajay Kumar, ACS AIGETOA, Shri. Madan Nellori, AIGETOA Mandya, Shri Lingaraju, DS, AIBSNLEA Mandya and Shri. Ravi B, CS, ABLE KTK.

On Saturday the 19th of November 2016, CS Shri Sundarraju and ACSs Shri. Chandran and Shri. Ajay Kumar visited Mysore SSA. The District body of MYS SSA was not active and needed reformation. A general body meeting was held at 2nd Floor, Gokulam Exchange. About 20 members attended from all units and corners of Mysore SSA.

Shri. Chandran spoke at length at the issues being faced by DRs. He updated the progress of all issues at CHQ and Circle level. He extolled the members to become active so that we are recognised as a force to reckon with at the local level. Attention was drawn to the upcoming membership verification and our stand of supporting AIBSNLEA in accordance with the MoU of 2014. Members doubts were cleared on our stand on various issues and specifically – PPP.

Shri. Ajay Kumar boosted the morale of members, especially of the junior batches. He highlighted the injustice created by other associations in many local issues. He called for unity among all DRs.

Shri. Sundarraju, presided over the body reformation process. Active members were unanimously elected.

AIGETOA congratulates the new District body. The DP/DS thanked the members for the faith reposed on them.

AIGETOA KTK specially thanks Shri. Sharat Kumar for all the logistics and arrangements to facilitate this meeting.

Sh. R P Shahu, in the capacity of the then General Secretary argued and raised the voice against non-implementation of transfer orders of some executives on promotion issued from higher office i.e. BSNL CO. 

? When the voice was raised by the then General Secretary AIGETOA, GMTD Jabalpur, instead of reliving the officers on promotion, issued memorandum of charge sheets followed by punishment order slapping allegation of misconduct on the then General Secretary (Sh. R. P. Shahu) 

? It is well set law and basic principal of natural justice that complainant himself cannot be judge in his own case but the then GMTD acted as complainant as well as judge in issuing punishment order to Sh R P Shahu without even conducting any inquiry and without giving him even chance of being heard. 

? Appeal case of Sh R P Shahu is pending before O/o Director (HR) for more than one year without citing any reasons which is against the provision of disciplinary rules. Even Sh R P Shahu was called for personal hearing in the month of April 2016 but was not even supplied with attendance certificate and order sheet. As a result, he could not even claim his TA/DA as per the provision of the rules. This again spells injustice. 

? Sh R P Shahu was served one more charge sheet under rule-36 of BSNL CDA Rule by the same officer for the content of the association website updated during his tenure of General Secretary which was nothing but statement of facts updated by him in his capacity as General Secretary. GMTD Jabalpur/SSA Head was neither the authority to monitor the act of Association nor the disciplinary authority for the representatives of the association but the action was taken by the GMTD apparently beyond his authority and served charge sheet to Sh R P Shahu against the act of the association. All limits of the justice has been broken with this charge sheet running since last three years without any inquiry or action. 

Yesterday, GM SR called for a discussion on the issue of vindictive actions on Shri R P Shahu. We made our point of view very clear that we don’t want any favour. All we want is the decision on Merit and independent enquiry into the whole episode. We also made him aware about the prevalent unrest in the minds of all AIGETOA members against continued ignorance of this issue. We have informed that all of us are willing to go to any extent and ready for the extreme…but we want decision at any cost and all of us have prepared ourselves for the action program. The discussion will continue further.

Friends make extensive preparations for the forth coming protest action programs. We tried this issue to be resolved in amicable manner but that was not reciprocated by management. 

Shri R P Shahu has given the most precious years of his life to the cause of the BSNL recruits. The man who made us aware about our rights. The man who gave us the vision for achieving the three Ps.. The man who burnt his midnight oil studying the issues of BSNL recruits. The man who dared and taught us what daring means.. 

Now it’s our turn to reciprocate. Now it’s our turn to contribute. Now it’s our turn to stand up for him. 

Let’s come and make this bond stronger. Let’s come and make everyone believe that if anything happens to my leader. We are not going to spare it. Let’s join and make this program successful. Let’s come and convey- We Care…We care for our leader.

o Against the act by authorities for crushing the voice of the representatives of association. 
o Against the violation of rules and basic principle of natural justice in victimizing the representatives of any Association. 
o Against the delay in disposing off the appeal cases on merit and time limit set by the provisions of the rules.

2. 23rd November 2016 : One day Dharna at SSA/circle/BSNL CO. 
3. 30th November 2016: One day Dharna at BSNL CO. All Executives across the country will gather at BSNL CO. 
4. Non-Cooperation along with Black Badges shall also be in effect from 23rd November 2016 till resolution of the issue.
