LETTER TO ALL CGMS REGARDING NON-CREDIT OF EPF INTEREST
As discussed & conveyed by the GS AIGETOA in the meeting held with GM (CA) on 16th Sept 2011, GM (CA) issued letter to all CGMs regarding transfer of EPF balance from one account to another, in the view of Gazette notification GSR 25(E) dated 15.01.2011 issued, effective from 1.4.2011 regarding non-credit of interest to EPF accounts from the date on which it has become inoperative.

“Happy Engineer’s Day “- 15th September
In India, Engineers’ Day is celebrated on 15 September every year.The day is the birthday of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvarayya, an eminent Indian engineer (from College Of Engg., Pune(COEP)) and statesman born in Muddenahalli- Kanivenarayanapura in present day Karnataka. He served as the chief engineer during construction of Krishna Raja Sagara on the Kaveri River near Mysore.He also built many dams in the Bombay presidency (present day Maharashtra). The dams built by him are still functional even today, a testimony to his brilliance, skill, honesty and dedication. So 15 September, Engineer’s Day 2010 which becomes 150 years since a legend was born, is quite a remarkable tribute to the greatest Indian Engineer Bharat Ratna M. Visvesvarayya.
Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya (1860-1965) was called a wizard in engineering. He was also called the precursor of economic planning in India. He took an interest not in engineering alone, but was capable of applying his talent to many allied matters connected with the development of the nation.His learned discourse on economic planning in India entitled ‘Planned Economy for India and Reconstructing India’ was the first available document on the planning effort of the country and it is still held as the parent source matter for economic planners.To commemorate the birthday of Bharat Ratna Sir M Visvesvaraya, many events takes place in India every year. National level organizations like The Instituitions of Engineers (India) ([1]) conduct meets and events on this occasion. Considering global awareness on climate change and realizing Engineers’ role in economic development and environmental responsibility, IEI is dedicating the 42nd Engineer’s Day to ‘Engineering Solutions to Combat Climate Change’.Internationally recognised for his genius in harnessing water resources, he was responsible for successful design and construction of several river dams, bridges and implementing irrigation and drinking water schemes all over India.He served as the dewan of Mysore State and was considered to be the architect of the all-round development of Karnataka.
Among his most successful projects are the design and construction of the K.R. Sagar dam and its adjoining Brindavan Gardens, turn-around of the Bhadravati Iron and Steel Works, setting up of the Mysore Sandalwood Oil Factory and the founding of the Bank of Mysore.
Young initiatives like “Nesting Ideas” through Why?Newton conducts nationwide events to capture engineering stories (‘My Engineering Story’) on this occasion. This effort is made to identify upcoming technologies, business ideas, promote social entrepreneurship and touch the emotional part of engineers’ college life which everyone misses during their lifetime. He is still alive in people’s hearts.

Medical allowance without voucher and LTC in the name of expenditure control-Regarding
AIGETOA G S Shree R.P.Shahu writes to CMD BSNL.
It is strange to see the unilateral decision of the competent authority to stop the very basic and minimum facilities of the employees in the name of expenditure control in BSNL. It is needless to mention that BSNL is state run company and is forced to serve several government social obligations without going into calculation of profit and loss.

Dear All DRJTO/DRJAOs of KarnatkaAIGETOA Karnataka Circle team lead By CS Manjunath BG,CP Ashok Y Shigli,ACS,Sundarraju Met GM(Admn) and discussed the fallowing points.GM(Admn) gave enough time to listen problems and got positive response from him all issues. We informed only DRJTOs/DRJAOs are facing problems in Karnataka circle,Most of DRJTOs are completed more than 9 years in Karnataka circle.

1) Status of Rule-8 cases(Inter circle transfer) of Karnataka circle. 2) No Balance sheet received for the period 2008-09 and 2009-10 in circle office/Bangalore and BGTD,SSAs 3)Status of implementation of circle order No.EST/1-122/R/III/17A dated at Bangalore 24.03.2011(E1 to E2 up gradation for four years) 4) Status of Mutual Transfer cases of DRJTOs/DRJAOs. Now the same day has come again and once again given us the chance to celebrate this occasion by joining hands for“INDIA AGAINST CORRUPTION”. This association appeals all it’s member to give support to this anti corruption movement in following ways from today till movement is going on:
